greenhouse gas

ICT Teaching and Larning
1.      Short answer
What kind of models there was mentioned and what’s their role in learning?
In this article, computer based learning, mental model, and hyper models were mentioned.
The role of computer based learning is “to support student to build deep understanding”.(1)
The role of mental model is “to influence our percepions of phenomena and our understanding”. (2)
The role of hypermodel is “conceptual models realized as computer models embedded in interactive curicula”.(3)

2.      My observation
When I tried simulation, I realized how greenhouse gas affects temperature. When I made amount of greenhouse gas low, temperature went down and became -9 degree. On the other hand, when I made the amount of greenhouse gas high, temperature went up and it became 19-20 degree.
When I set ice age, the amount of greenhouse gas was less than the amount of 1750 and temperature was lower than 1750. When I set today`s situation, the amount of greenhouse gas was more than the amount of 1750`s, and the temperature was higher than 1750. So, it can be said greenhouse gas has some relations with the climate.
It seems that the greenhouse gas affects the temperature. Greenhouse gas keeps infrared photon inside the atmosphere. As a result, temperature is kept high. On the other hand, if amount of infrared photon is little inside the atmosphere, temperature will decrease. But, if there isn`t any greenhouse gas in the atmosphere, people can´t live, because temperature is too low. So, some greenhouse gas is necessary for people to live. I also found that the amount of CO2 affects the amount of greenhouse gas. So people have to care about CO2. When the amount of CO2 is high, greenhouse gas also went high. So I think CO2 affects greenhouse gas.
